बोतल म लहर या एक लहर म बोतल? (Wave in a bottle or bottle in a wave?)
Rainwater and Baby Oil in a bottle
7.99 x 2.5 in. (20.3 x 6.35 cm)
2024
This piece of work encapsulates the relentless motion of a flood. Using rainwater and baby oil in a Sprite bottle, it symbolises the chaos of the flood. Powered by a hidden motor, the bottle moves back and forth, creating wave-like motions. The Sprite bottle holds personal significance, as we relied on Sprite during the water shortage while trapped. This piece captures both the physical waves of the flood and our emotional turbulence, merging them into a single, compelling narrative.

Swampy Floor Installation
Acrylic, Rainwater, Torn Canvas Sheets and Resin on Floor
2023
This installation captures the essence of flood devastation through an immersive display of scattered bits of paper, torn canvas sheets, and splashes of acrylic paint mixed with water. The paint flows organically, creating patterns on the floor and walls that mimic the look of contaminated floodwater. Two canvases are positioned within the scene—one lying flat on the floor and the other propped at an angle—representing the resilience and fragility of art amidst chaos. The installation evokes a sense of loss, transformation, and the haunting beauty left in the wake of destruction.

The Death Trap Installation
Mud Blocks, Broken Frames and Hammer on Floor
2023
In this installation, I created a raw and evocative narrative by spreading mud blocks across the floor, symbolizing the remnants of destruction. Broken frames, with damaged prints bearing powerful words like ‘Mud,’ ‘Blood,’ and ‘Flood,’ or depicting region-specific Uttarakhand paintings, add layers of storytelling. Shattered glass and a hammer scattered across the floor further emphasize the chaos and fragility. All of this is staged beneath my painting The Death Trap, tying the elements together to depict the devastating aftermath of natural disasters and their emotional impact.

Waves installation
Mixed Media on Floor
2022
This was one of my earliest experiments with installation art, where I blended motion, texture, and storytelling. The centerpiece featured three large cement waves emerging from a TV screen playing a video and audio of moving waves, creating a dynamic sensory experience. Surrounding the larger waves were smaller cement waves, enhancing the immersive effect. To the right, I displayed my painting, Waves, which had a cement wave extending from its edge, seamlessly placed to appear as though it was flowing out of the artwork itself. This installation bridged the boundaries between mediums, bringing the energy of the sea to life within the space.
